Plain Sewing

Plain sewing samplers are a category unto themselves, and cannot be understated. By plain sewing, we mean the skills with needle and thread to create, mend or darn all household textiles, including clothing and household linens. Extending the category, we also include knitting, crochet, straw plaiting and lace making.

The various examples in this companion group include specimen books, mounted pieces, show rolls (pronkrollen) and certification projects.
